1. Using FlickStack
These terms cover the FlickStack Android app and this website, huvsh.com (together, “FlickStack”). By using FlickStack you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Our privacy policy explains what data FlickStack handles and is part of these terms.
You need to be at least 13, or the minimum age to use online services where you live if that’s higher. If you’re under 18, check with a parent or guardian first.
2. What FlickStack is
FlickStack is free. It suggests films and series based on your swipes, shows ratings from other sites, and builds community scores from anonymous swipes. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop running FlickStack at any time.
3. Signing in and your data
- You can use FlickStack as a guest. Guest data lives only on your phone; if you lose or reset the phone, it’s gone.
- If you sign in with Google, backups are saved to your own Google Drive. You’re responsible for your Google account and its security.
- You can delete your data at any time: Menu → Reset my taste, or uninstall the app. See the privacy policy for details.
4. Usernames and the leaderboard
Joining the leaderboard is optional. If you pick a username, it must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate someone else, or advertise anything. Don’t try to game the boards (for example with scripts, fake swipes or multiple devices). We can rename or remove usernames and reset or remove scores that break these rules, without notice.
5. Fair use
Please don’t misuse FlickStack: no attacking or overloading our servers, scraping our API, reverse engineering it to get around limits, or using it for anything illegal.
6. What you contribute
When sharing is on, your swipes, ratings and quiz answers are sent anonymously and combined with everyone else’s to build community scores and stats on huvsh.com. You let us use that anonymous data for that purpose, including after you stop using FlickStack. You can turn sharing off in the app menu at any time.
7. Other people’s content
Film and series information and images come from TMDB; critic scores come from OMDb (IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic). Trailers play through YouTube, and YouTube’s own terms apply when you watch them. “Where to watch” links open other services, whose own terms apply. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for them. All titles, posters and trademarks belong to their owners.
8. No guarantees
FlickStack is provided “as is”. Recommendations, FS Scores and community scores are opinions and estimates, and ratings or streaming availability can be out of date or wrong. We don’t promise FlickStack will always work, be error-free, or that you’ll like what it suggests.
9. Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or anything arising from content or services run by others. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law.
10. Ending things
You can stop using FlickStack whenever you like by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a significant change we’ll update the date at the top and, where it makes sense, mention it in the app. Carrying on using FlickStack after a change means you accept the new terms.
